Vacancy Details for UPSC Recruitment 2025
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced 979 vacancies for the Civil Services Examination 2025. Among these, 38 positions are reserved for candidates with benchmark disabilities, including 12 for blind and low vision, 7 for deaf and hard of hearing, 10 for locomotor disabilities (such as cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy), and 9 for multiple disabilities (including deaf-blindness). Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Those in their final year of study can apply for the Preliminary Examination but must submit proof of their qualification before appearing for the Main Examination. Additionally, medical students who have completed their final year of MBBS but are yet to complete their internship can also apply, provided they submit a course completion certificate at the time of the Main Examination.
How to Apply for UPSC Recruitment 2025
Eligible candidates must apply online through the UPSC official website before the deadline of February 11, 2025 (6:00 PM). The application fee is ₹100, but SC/ST/PwBD and female candidates are exempted. The fee can be paid through SBI net banking, debit/credit card, UPI, or cash at an SBI branch. Candidates choosing the “Pay by Cash” option must generate a pay-in-slip during registration and submit the fee at SBI branches before February 10, 2025. The Preliminary Examination will take place on May 25, 2025, and candidates will receive their admit cards online. The application form can be modified between February 12 and February 18, 2025. Applicants are advised to submit their forms well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
